Pest control

General pest control: what a treatment covers and how often to do it

The short answer

A general pest control treatment targets common household pests such as cockroaches, ants, spiders, silverfish and rodents by applying safe, targeted products to the areas where pests travel, nest and enter, both inside and around the exterior of your home. For most South East Queensland homes an annual treatment keeps these pests under control, with a stronger interval in warmer months when activity peaks. Our licensed technicians use products that are effective on pests but safe for children and pets when applied correctly, and we explain exactly what we are using and why.

Good questions

Answers before you even ask

How often should I have general pest control?
For most Queensland homes, once a year keeps common pests under control, though homes with heavy cockroach or rodent pressure may benefit from a treatment every six months, especially over the warmer months.
Is general pest control safe for pets and children?
Yes. We choose products that are effective on pests but safe for children and pets once dry, applied by licensed technicians. We always tell you what we are using and any simple precautions to take on the day.
Does general pest control cover termites?
No. Termites need a dedicated termite inspection and management system. General pest control covers cockroaches, ants, spiders, silverfish and rodents, not termites.
